Hunterian Museum

The Hunterian Museum is based at the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s headquarters at Lincoln’s Inn Fields in central London (Just behind Holborn underground station).

It explores the history of medical surgery from its early beginnings to modern day and includes over 2,000 anatomical preparations from Hunter’s original collection, alongside instruments, equipment, models, paintings and archive material. The Museum which reopened in 2023 following a 5 year renovation, includes England’s largest public display of human anatomy.

Deals with genuine medical specimens which may not be suitable for everyone.
