Kyoto Garden

Kyoto Garden is a tranquil Japanese-style garden located within Holland Park in west London.

Opened in 1991 as a gift from the city of Kyoto to commemorate the long-standing friendship between Japan and the United Kingdom, the garden reflects traditional Japanese landscaping principles.

It features carefully arranged rocks, flowing water, and seasonal plants designed to create harmony and balance, offering visitors a peaceful escape from the surrounding city.

At the heart of Kyoto Garden is a serene pond inhabited by koi carp, often accompanied by elegant peacocks roaming nearby.

The space is especially popular in autumn when the foliage turns vivid shades of red and orange, making it one of London’s most picturesque spots for relaxation, photography, and quiet reflection.
