The Wallace Collection offers a quieter, more intimate alternative to London’s larger galleries, where you can take your time with works by masters like Rembrandt and Frans Hals without the usual crowds.

Its rooms feel more like a grand private home than a gallery, which makes the experience less overwhelming and more personal.

It’s free to enter, centrally located, and easy to explore at your own pace. Furthermore in the central covered courtyard there is a large cafe restaurant which is perfect for afternoon tea, lunch or just a sit down and a drink after taking in all of the art exhibits. It's always best to book but they do accept walk-ins. The gallery is just a short walk from Bond Street tube station and sits directly behind Selfridges Store on Oxford Street. You can't really get more central than that.
